Image server is back up.
I might turn it off at night for the next few days because my parents are sleeping in the room that houses the server. so get all you uploads in during waking hours (that is normal people waking hours).
I was hoping to have a super awesome thing to post for my #1000 but i guess this will have to do. maybe when #1024 comes around i'll have something awesomer :-P

btw if anyone tried to access the image server sometime today and it didnt work somehow (perhaps by way of our dog running around) the surge protector for the cable modem + image server got switched off earlier today. hopefully those kinds of things wont happen once i have more verticality in my apartment. things are very japanese and low to the ground at the moment :-P

zomg image server not working. i think i heard the HD making some funny noises so i'm going to see if i cant make a backup right now.. bbl
ninja edit: so after i putz'ed around on the machine for a while i got this bad boy:
Uhhuh. NMI received for unknown reason 2c on CPU 0.

Do you have a strange power saving mode enabled?
spurious 8259A interrupt: IRQ7.
I like how they start it with "Uhhuh." anyway i'ma check into all that business.. hope the power supply isn't gone bad =[ I backed up everything from the www/ directory so we at least have a copy of all the images that were uploaded and the php script that does the uploading. worst comes to worst i'll get another box. img srv is back up (for now?)
