Merry Christmas you filthy animals. Hanging out watching Disney+ with Emma. Charley asleep. E getting a play kitchen and some kid books. I also put one of those little play tents in her room. She still seems a bit young(2.5) to understand Christmas. She thinks it’s a birthday party.

2020! Jeremiah got some cool hot wheels tracks that we'll set up later. I got The Crew card game and Pillars of Eternity on xb1 and a whole lot of snacks on snacks. Barbie got Wingspan the game because she's been trying to attract birds to our yard and that's what it's about. JV also got a punching bag so everyone watch out.

Also, I think we should prob make sure to have a GaS in 2021..

Merry Christmas!

Santa brought the girls a play table with a top that can flip over. One side is smooth and one side is Lego base. And they got a bunch of legos. We got them suitcases and headphones (mostly for travel purposes).

Santa brought Michael a wallet since his old one broke and he had taken to just carrying around a stack of cards/money. Santa brought me AirPods. Michael also got a chemistry kit for wet plate photography which his step dad keeps referring to as his meth set. We both got various clothes and books. I got a pure white lounge set that, according to Michael, makes me look like a Russian drug dealer’s bitch.

We have also been watching a ton of movies. It took us like 4 hours to watch captain marvel because Ada constantly asked questions and Michael paused to answer every one of them. Then Josie joined in as well with “Why do aliens eat breakfast?”

veronica, jeremiah also got the elephant and piggie books box set and I heard it came by your recommendation so when he grows up to be over-dramatic and co-dependent i'm blaming you

I just recommended Mo Willems’ books in general. Whichever ones you guys picked, that’s on you.

Although a lot of his book have over dramatic characters. Drew, Pete the Cat might be more up your alley.

Pete the cat is cool, he says like the exact amount of words he needs to say and lets his hip narrator explain the rest

Happy X-wanzakkah everyone!

We spent xmas in Arkansas like we often do. We started out in Atlanta for a couple days to see my family. Plans were derailed a bit bc my oldest niece got stuck in Ireland with a positive Covid test. Then my sister had a positive Covid test and she and Shaun had to miss family Xmas. While we were at my parents’ house, my mom got a hand-written check (like out of a checkbook) for $106k. Sometime this year, her family found out they had a long lost cousins who died with a big estate, no kids and no will. So it got divided up amongst the cousins or their kids (96 people in total) and my mom got 1/42 of the estate. It was nuts.

Then we went to Arkansas where things went pretty much as planned. Michael’s family is inundated with babies right now. His sister had her third kid back in January and his step sister had twins in March. So we’ve got four babies plus four little kids running around. Thank god for his step brothers who are primo uncles to the little kids.

Decent haul as usual. I got a set of drinking glasses since I never got a set when we got married (been rocking plastic cups for the last decade). Got a roomba type vacuum for the house. Michael’s parents love giving outerwear and lounge clothes, so we got some of those. Michael got me a robe that I requested for our drafty house. And he got me a few other odds and ends including a Bluetooth banana phone! 🍌

Long lost forgotten cousins for the win! We didn’t have too many gifts for the girls since they are still kinda young (3 & 1). I got Emma (3) this car thing where a car loops around and goes over a bridge and there is a crane at one point. Emma is really into dinosaurs right now so she got a few stuffed animals. Charley (1) got a plastic car she can sit and scoot around on that plays music. I got a water house roller that goes on the side of the house. My wife and I jointly got one of those cordless vacuum cleaners because we are always cleaning.
