I missed out on that epic viewing I might have to download it at some point.  I'll make sure to watch it with the next girl I remotely have a chance of dating haha.

Emperor - We watched patton because Barb hadn't ever seen it and Netflix recommended this one. Tommy Lee Jones is MacArthur and his subordinate Gen Fellers is the one dude from Lost. MacArthur is rebuilding Japan and Feller is in charge of arresting Japanese war criminals. MacArthur tells him to investigate whether the emperor should be prosecuted. In movie terms the investigation is boring and there's a shoehorned romance and neither drew me in. Historically I learned a couple things including the kyujo incident happened although it's different than portrayed. It's been on my mind recently how we were so successful in reconstruction of Germany and Japan and fail so hard in modern time reconstruction. Still don't know why but there's prob a piece of the puzzle in this movie. 3 out of 5 table flips YES!

Netflix recommended Ghandi next so I'm going to give this Michael Recommendation a chance I'm scared...

My great-grandmother came over form Ireland to Buffalo where she worked for her first cousin / my great-great-uncle? Rev Fr John P Boland who went with MacArthur to Japan as labor consultant.  So basically what I'm saying is Emperor was about me.

Gone Girl directed by M. Night Shamalamadingdong. Ok but seriously M. Night should watch it to learn how to make movies with good twists that actually make sense. The movie is best enjoyed sitting next to a 350lb black woman that loves to talk to the characters seriously. The ending disappointed me but I've been thinking about it an I really don't know how it could've been done differently without some major cop-outs. Otherwise it was very well written directed and acted even by Ben Afflec.

They should offer that as an alternate commentary soundtrack on the bluray release. "OH GURL DON'T GO IN THERE!!"
