The Bourne Legacy: It's nowhere near as good as the others. It's just alright. The action in the others relied on the creativity of Bourne to make it interesting. All the gimmicks that Hawkeye comes up with are pretty straightforward. The intelligence bureaucrat parts with Ed Norton and whoever else were boring because it never really feels like they have anything at stake. So they just would cut to them to give some exposition and throw in some spy jargon/metaphors (metagons? jartaphors? I mean phrases like "we have to put a bag over this" they should just use the jartaphors literally and keep the audience guessing. I certainly wouldn't have expected the govt goons to try to put a bag over Hawkeye and expect it to solve their problems.) The ending is really abrupt. It's not like they set up a sequel it's just like they got to a lull in the action and the rest will come later. Not sure what's going on with the books and I don't feel like checking. Also with the other movies it was about Matt Damon going on a journey of self discovey and solving the mystery of himself. Hawkeye just Hawkeye the whole time just kinda doing what he does. 2.5 out of 5 ghost tits
