So way back in the day I received a generous gift in the form of a Striker II USB laser guided missle launcher. It came with Windows-only software on a CD which is fine but I don't run windows. thankfully a guy wrote some driver software based on libusb. It worked pretty well but for some reason the USB device disconnects (and immediately reconnects) randomly. I added 2 lines of code to his driver application to re-find the device and it seems to be a decent workaround.
Basically what I'm trying to say is that any cats coming within 12 feet of my desk had better have their head on swivel.
Pretty cool how open-source tools can be used to develop something truly amazing. Google's Sketchup was used to develop Uncharted 2: Among Thieves levels.
The google blog has a cool youtube video here.
I was checking out Skyrim today and I saw a news article describing how you could vote to have Oblivion displayed at the Smithsonian in 2012. :O Get your vote on for games from virtually every generation and genre. Grant actually referenced it in a recent paper for his New Media class. :)
sooo extended benefits?
Crysis 2 Pre-ordered. :D Game on!
That foosball table would only be epic if similar music played while the ball was in play.
There is a bar opening up right next to Doc Chey's (i.e. walking distance from me!) any day now. I confirmed that there is a foosball table. Pretty sure I will be the mayor there.
Some things are too good to be true
