How trackable is your browser? -- basically using browser characteristics (and not cookie contents) to (possibly) uniquely identify peopleedit: for the record of the 102208 people they've profiled so far mine "appears to be unique"

you know what DOESN'T enhance my computing experience? working at a place where EVERYTHING is blocked. facebook and youtube (obviously) but also xkcd projectplaylist.com pandora even wikipedia! how can you block wikipedia?! xkcd was blocked under the category "humor/jokes". so i guess they blocked all fun on the internet.so thanks guys for flying under the radar. at least there's one site i can visit. :-) oh yeah and SMBC.

this video. It's an informal interview and the video quality is terrible but he gets into some of the details behind SeaDragon and PhotoSynth. It's from July 2006 and here we are in Feb 2010 seeing the same technology in action on Bing. :O

yeah the photosynth demo was the first (and only) time i've seen this guy before. good to know he's still part of exciting technology :-D
