John's Background Switcher -- I'm going to have to try this out. Windows 7 has some cool built in options for making a background slideshow out of a bunch of images but this has a lot more options for pulling stuff from the web (flickr facebook google image search etc) and putting it on your desktop

i've been using the freeware version of nuonsoft wallpaper cycler for a few years you can create categories and set time parameters with the categories so i have separate morning afternoon and night sets of wallpapers like a foggy forest in the morning a tropical beach in the afternoon and the corner in macon where shawn's mom is at night
