so i went to see an orthopaedist yesterday. i've been diagnosed with a chronic case of
ITBFS. i'll be seeing a physical therapist for the next 6 weeks or so and should be able to start testing it out thereafter. if the PT doesn't cut it then i might just have them take off both legs above the knee and get some nice prosthetics. pretty sure my insurance doesn't specifically exclude elective amputation...

started physical therapy last week. general idea: this band of tissue that runs from your hip down to the side of your knee is too short we're going to stretch it until it's longer.so who's down for ultimate in 4-6 weeks?

this isn't damage to my body - but a skunk sprayed my yard yesterday and Dusty decided it would be a good idea to roll in it and then come inside and roll on my area rugs and one of my arm chairs. so now my whole house smells like skunk. it is absolutely disgusting. i gave him a bath with dog shampoo but now he just smells like a fruity skunk. apparently washing with tomato juice is a myth and was busted by mythbusters so i'm going to try a combo of hydrogen peroxide baking soda and dish soap. according to the internets that will work. i'm also going to borrow my grandmothers steam cleaner and do the area rugs and arm chair both were cheap/free so if that doesn't work i'm throwing them out. life lesson shoot every skunk you can and don't leave your back door open so your dog can run in and out at will.

so i can add this to the list of injuries i've had:Grade 1 separation of the AC join. From what I understood it means I sprained the ligaments that connect my collarbone to my shoulder. Nothing I can do for it but apparently it's more painful than breaking my collarbone which is what I thought I had done.
