So I twisted my fingers up pretty good tubing this past weekend up in Chickanooga.. I held on a little too long and a little too hard on one of the turns and when I was bucked off my fingers couldn't take it.
Just got an x-ray done at Dekalb Medical Center and apparently my ring finger is broken. boo. got an appt with an ortho tomorrow for to set it. I've got a CD with the xrays on it so perhaps i'll load them up (anyone have a commercial medical image viewer available? eh BadJohnny?) and save a few screenshots.

the bottom right one is straight on from the top the rest of them i kinda had my hand turned sideways 60-90 degrees

oh yeah i never updated this page after my appt with the ortho guy -- he says it's a spiral fracture of sorts which is why when i bend my finger down to make a fist it goes a bit crooked.. and without sticking some pins in there it will heal crooked.. so fixing it would mean surgery.
I've had my fingers taped together since Friday and I've got another appointment with him tomorrow. We will decide then if I should get the surgery which would be this Friday.
I'm hoping that just buddy taping for a few more weeks will let it heal "straight enough" so I dont end up a Gimpy McUseless Finger the rest of my life.

just got back from the doctor looks like buddy taping for the remainder will be good enough.. so yay no surgery. boo for typing with taped fingers for a month and a half.
