Hal's on Old Ivey. It was really good. I meant to post it on here but I forgot. It's not really a steakhouse. It's just a nice restaurant that happens to make an incredible steak.

Pappadeaux's - 5/5
Alright so we (me V and Arif) got there at like 10 o'clock and the drama was already in full effect. I'm not sure why we went there other than it was still open and Arif suggested it. They seat us in one of the off side rooms that might be used for functions or whatever and there looked to be the start of a race wra (misspelled it just so googling race wra doesn't pop up the 409) because there were some inebriated white people and some uppity black folk. But the management kicks out the white people and crisis averted but the foul aura remains. We order alligator and that takes a while. Then we order dinner and Arif orders chicken fingers (i know right?) V orders whatever and I order shrimp etouffee. So that'll be tasty. Tasty like cigarettes. So I'm like you guys can go ahead and take this back and bring me something else. I end up with the little bit of everything platter and I pretty much eat the whole thing. Poor choice. We get back to the CR and I'm chilling on the couch and I'm like dang I don't feel like going upstairs to bed so I sleep on the couch. I wake up the next morning because we're trying to go sign the offer for the house but I was thwarted. I drop some serious ordinance and I'm like well maybe that's that. Wrong. So Arif goes and signs the offer and I'm throwing up every thing I've ever eaten ever. I drink some water throw it up. Oh and one good thing about having a disgusting looking toilet is that while you're right on top of it hunched over it's pretty easy to throw up. So I'm lying sweaty in bed all day except for like a half hour when I'm downstairs. That continues into the next day sitting in bed throwing up not eating anything. So Monday rolls around (I last ate on Friday) and I finally feel like eating something. I guess all your etc. etc. shrinks up and you can't eat very much and what you do eat gives you serious potent gas. The kind where you get up from where you're sitting and walk to the next room because damn that's bad. For a while after that I'm eating half of what I normally do. So after a week I'm eating normal portions of food and a few days after that my turds are finally normal size and shape. So final count Pappadeaux's cost me like $25 for dinner minus a half-weeks worth of food plus $6500/3 for a lame contract clause and 2 days of misery I'll never get back. Pappadeaux's - 5/5 because well you got me.

because we let them change our stipulation for a $6500 allowance from being used just for painting and new carpet they changed it to being used for painting new carpet and all other repairs which there are a few like $6500 worth probably

The Movie Tavern - 4/5
$5 for a movie ticket $8 for some food (a burger or some pizza or something) isn't bad. The soda is like $5 but that's the only thing that feels like a rip off. Only thing that keeps it from 5/5 is the lack of variety on the menu. Good times for movies like Tropic Thunder. Also beat the clock in the parking lot for extra flair.

i concur. it costs less money and time than dinner and a movie separately. BONUS: you still have time to go home and watch thrilling movies like "Raptor".
