On Amazon UK "Windows 7 was able to tally up more sales in the first 8 hours of pre-order availability than Vista was able to collect altogether."That's pretty impressive. I guess this is a genuine "good job"

why would that be the case? i haven't heard any hype that would make me anything more than ambivalent about a new windows release i'm still on XP and no one has given me a reason to upgrade yet

win7 is apparently the new hotness when compared to the craphole of vista.so basically everyone that did buy vista made sure to pre-order win7 which pretty much guaranteed that it'd outsell vista :-P
