They accepted my prior master's degree. Instead of having to take all of the normal core courses and then a prelim exam I can go straight to the dissertation basically.

yeah the image upload page currently assumes that it's not members only so it gives you the wrong <img> tag to copy+paste.. sorry fix't

so i don't get promotions but i get raises. and i got the biggest raise i've ever gotten today: 6.18%!! good thing too now i can get more for the house loan and use the higher salary to negotiate a higher offer for my new job. thanks cti!

Just had a sit-down with my boss. I'm now a "Senior Software Engineer!"This means I get more rights responsibilities and moneys than before. Looks like working hard and loving my job pays off.What I'm really looking forward to is being promoted from Senior SE to Dirty-Old-Man SE. That's when your responsibilities dwindle and you can get away with just about anything ("oh he's just a harmless old man").
