I got a call from comcast yesterday and our triple play package expires on August 22 but we're not under contract w00t! The price would go up from 126 to 248!
They want to give us 74 more channels increase our bandwidth from 6MBps to 8MBps and a few other lame perks for 130/month for one year with no contract. He said they have other packages that are cheaper but I told him I'd call back after I talk to you guys.
We should have a PMC family meeting next week to discuss our options but I'd be ok with keeping internet with comcast cancelling tv and phone and finding some really cheap phone service so we can keep the security service. The security service lowers our home insurance premium so that's really the only reason I'd suggest keeping it. I need to find out how much it lowers the premium though because it probably doesn't save us more than the monthly cost of phone+security.

i'm all for canceling as many things as possible. i doubt that we're saving money overall by having the security system.

Just to put in my two cents. It would seem to me that since Drew lives there that you don't need a security system.
