Oh yeah I mostly watched God Bless America which was mentioned a few pages ago. I was right the trailer is pretty much the movie so save yourself some time. If you're gonna go over the top you have to go 4 it you can't have preachy monologues. I say mostly watched since I started fast forwarding about half way through it. 1 out of 5 tactics fails.

Favorite movie of all time of the month: Primer. If you're looking for a gritty low budget superbly written scifi you can nerd out on for days (eg Donny Darko Pi) go watch this tonight. Then read "the primer universe" blogspot. For a freshman effort accepting that the actors are semi-pro and enjoying the brain-hurting scope of a movie who's most expensive prop was an oxygen tank I give it a 4.8/5 stupid weebles. On Netflix now.

Anyone watch Falling Skies?  I had seens commercials for it for a long time but never gave it a chance.  I started watching it this weekend before the season 3 premier.  It's actually pretty good.  I mean who doesn't love Noah Wyle?

4/5 glowing deharnessed spine spikes

I watched Primer and I can appreciate the effort but I felt like the dialogue was written to be purposefully obtuse. Like the first 20 minutes all the words they're saying don't help to inform of what's going on and they keep referencing stuff that the viewer hasn't even been exposed to yet. I wasn't watching it at like 100% attention but I had no idea what they were even trying to do by the end of the movie or why they cared about the guy with the shotgun at the party. Liked the concept though and the part where they used second level cleverness was interesting. I thought it was a good example of self perception for most nerds whether or not it was intended as such as in focused individuals who might always be right upon a mind blowing innovation.

Man of Steel: I went in with pretty low expectations and so it being better than what I expected made it enjoyable. It's got some deficiencies as far as story telling goes. We never really get a sense of motivation from Superman. There are very few lulls in the action but after a while some of it gets repetitive. It's like OK I get it Superman and the bad guys are going to tackle each other and crash through some buildings. In a fight you're either winning or losing but long fight scenes  just drag out for the spectacle but don't add any dramatic stakes. The visuals were great. Story was meh and the character of Superman is flat. He really needed to talk to a few more people. Fun movie though. 4 out 5 awesome bad guy headgears that I want one of.
