damnit i did all of that with ampersands so they showed up normal. fuck it.

another little annoying bonus feature: if you make a post with ampersands in it and then you go back to edit it your browser will parse the &lt;'s into the actual less than character "<" so then you have to fix them again.

so if technically i can't write a less than symbol then why does it show up when i type it (<) and also when i type the &lt;?

Why am i learning CS when I should be cleaning out my room?

If you just type a < and it doesn't have an alpha character [a-zA-Z] or the '/' char next to it then it'll show up regular. So punctuation spaces numbers etc. will still show the < char.

just so the story is straight i voted against dooblay quotes you informed me that dooblay quotes was the necessary standard and that your script crap only inserted target=_top in link tags if the href was surrounded by dooblay quotes. and then your hide button trickery breaks if dooblay quotes are used? i follow your crappy standard and then you don't even support it. for shame.

drew: for some reason when i tried to load up the image that you linked it came up with like a 20x20 blank picture.. so i archive.org'ed it and uploaded it to our image server.. hope this is the same one you had found.
