I never read LoTRs, only the hobbit in he 5th grade.  Maybe I’ll give that a whirl.  So my list so far is:
  • Project Hail Mary (book arrived! Haven’t started)
  • Dune series
  • LoTRs series
  • Possibly the giver series

Apparently the Duolingo folks have good taste in reading too:

We’re on chapter 11 of PHM.  Pretty entertaining so far.  Aryn would probably be done by now if she didn’t wait up for me, but we should finish it by this weekend.  Bryn started reading it today too!  She finished chapter 1 driving to and from gymnastics class. :)

Seems cool, is actually kind of odd how much I remember random weeknights with my dad and brother and some ppp, also I usually got 4x quarters to play the arcade games, will our kids ever know dine in pizza hut ?

I loved their salad bar, especially the cottage cheese.  The red cups and dim lighting are so nostalgic, and the arcade too!

I'm actually into cottage cheese now and also beets which they also had on the salad bar, but I thought they were gross at the time, i recall for whatever reason the cottage cheese would usually be cross contaminated with the beet juice, which I think I would still find unappealing

Here I made a video of my childhood going away

Aryn and I finished project Hail Mary last week.  We loved it!  It was a quick read, even for me.  I can see why they made it a movie.

We decided to rent The Martian from the library, but haven’t started it yet.

Just finished the Martian. Definitely a fun read!  I can see parallels with Project Hail Mary, but I feel they both hold their own.  Aryn hasn’t finished yet because we held a garage sale this weekend, which she managed mostly on her own.

After reading WoT, it feels strange to be able to finish a book in just a few days time.  Granted the series is 14 books in total, it still feels unfinished until you’ve read all of them.

Anyhow, I think I’ll read LoTR next.  Although now that I think about it, I did read it before, because I remember Tom Bombadil, who isn’t in the movies.  Hmmm…oh well, I guess I can reread it.

Maybe I’ll check out Storm Light Chronicles after that.
