Pretty good take this year: scored a new katana finally feel like a whole person again a cot for naps in between shifts sid meier's civilization board game (more on that in another upcoming post/topic) some jordan tennis shoes that i'm not going to ask too many questions about (don't think i got those exact shoes though) some spiderman pint glasses TMNT shot glasses (set of 4) assorted clothes 600W UPS battery backup etc etc

That was last year Shawn...but I'll keep it in mind.

Got a Canon 50mm F/1.8 prime lens for my Canon DSLR. I highly recommend it if you have a Canon or finding a similar one if you have another brand DSLR. Sample my completely untrained brother-in-law took over the weekend with it:

yeah i was using my fiance's fancypants canon with some fancypants lens and i have a basic idea what i'm doing but everything was still blurry like i couldn't even find the part of the picture that was supposed to theoretically be in focus might need to check into that lens got nowhere near to that quality of picture

Finally getting around to enumerating some of my spoils:

Rachel and I both scored bowling balls bags and shoes (along with a bunch of other things like rosin and powder and instructional DVDs). Look out 2012 -- I haven't mastered a new skill in a while and I think it's time to focus that laser. Also got a family heirloom -- my dad's Polish Bowling Ball that his parents gave to him when he was taking up bowling.. I'll post a pic when I get home.

I got a ton of DIY car maintenance gear including Auto Repair for Dummies a funnel oil drain container anti-freeze tester and some more that I can't think of right now. I think I'll pick up a pair of ramps or a jack and get this party started when the whether warms up.

In the food & beverage department I got a wireless barbeque thermometer that notifies you when your steaks are done (like a boss); got a wine fridge and a four bottle liquor dispenser not entirely unlike the one at PMC. Maybe SLD will be getting a sunroom-into-tiki-bar upgrade.

Speaking of tiki in the yard art department I got a color-changing LED hummingbird yard ornament to go with my pink flamingos. I really need to curate their habitat better.

Got some quality Threadless shirts and a nice nerdy hoody with the vulcan salute on the front. Scored a T-qualizer which means the next time I go to MJQ I will be the center of attention *before* I start dancing.

I'm sure there's a bunch of stuff that I'm just forgetting; I'll fill in when I get home.. but all in all a pretty good haul this year.
