Hmm I'm not sure I think it would include updates but since it's not thru the Play store... no guarantees? I can't imagine they'd make many friends by selling with an incomplete version and then charging again when the new stuff comes out...

ok well i found what looks like an old faq that says the humble bundle app will monitor updates or they will post current versions to your download page guess we'll see if that's true when multiplayer catan comes out

I bought the bundle and really like catan (I had only played it once freshman year) but I feel like a multiplayer phone version won't really work unless everyone just sits down to play the game.  Most of the mechanics will be fine but trading will be super slow.  Even if you do a notification system you have to propose an offer and then wait for everyone to respond.

Anyways it'll be interesting to see how they implement it but phone versions of games usually have a "play at your own pace" aspect which doesn't work well with trading phases of games.

I guess we could schedule an e-game night. :)  and speaking of which...g?

also have you guys played the seafarers or the cities and knights expansion?  C&K gets really crazy!  They only allow games up to 7 victory points as a teaser though so I might buy some of the additonal maps to unlock it.

i'm also wondering how the multiplayer stuff would work if it's at your own pace then yeah it's going to take weeks or months to play a game

we haven't played the seafarers expansion IRL but yeah the c&k one gives a lot of options to choose from i kind of remember thinking it would take a few games to figure out any sort of strategy

i'm down for e-game night g? also are you getting titanfall? not quite ready to pull the trigger on a xb1 yet myself also i've got a pretty large backlog i should play through before i throw down on a new console

Yeah I plan on getting Titan Fall not sure when though.  I still have COD Ghosts BF4 and Forza 5 to go through and Dying Light and Kinect Sports will be coming in soon too.

I ended up buying the C&K expansion and really like one of the maps that has 4 islands near by.  The original map works ok but you only go to 13 points and  get a VP for having a knight help defend against the barbarians so it makes the game end pretty quick.  Either way it's pretty fun.  Of course playing against the computer makes it a competely different experience so it'll be fun to get a game going.

Do eet!!

I've been playing BS4 a lot more during my week off.  It's a lot more fun than COD Ghosts IMO.  It'll be interesting to through some mechs into the mix.

Dust: An Elysian Tail is free for xbox gold people till the 15th. I played it a few months ago and enjoyed it. Metroidvania type platformer. I maxed out the completion at 117% and found all the items only had to look up two of the things. Really nice looking hand drawn visuals and atmospheric music. Combat gets repetitive midway through and the voice acting is a little breathy but has some character. I recommend it for people who like video games.

If you're up for a conceptual/artistic leaning game Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is a quick play through (like 4 hours). It's been called single player co-op you control one character with one thumbstick and the other one with the other thumbstick. The gameplay itself isn't very involved but your brain will take a few seconds to catch up with what you're trying to do. I never got frustrated though. They tell a simple but good story without using any English words and they use parts of the game to tell the story in a way that no other medium besides a video game could do. The whole experience is worth it just for that.
