File Transfer.  At my previous client we were using Citrix XenDesktop's (a virtual desktop) for testing but copy and paste between the host and client wouldn't work and sometimes I needed a file from the virtual desktop on my laptop (e.g. to do a file compre using BeyondCompare).  So I'd draft an email to myself and attach the file then switch to my laptop and refresh outlook haha.  I've used gmail drafts as a clipboard between my desktop and laptop before too. :)

I too LoL'ed at that XKCD. so retarded. There are so many different scenarios in which you want to move information between 2 places no one solution has been generic and quick-simple enough to fulfill them all at least not to my satisfaction.

since you guys know everything about the internet i'm sure you've come across this one.  seems to be somewhat inspired by xkcd just not as good.  but mildly amusing nonetheless.
