New job new me, I've decided to start exercising again and made up a routine that includes getting to the office gym early, we're allowed to work out on the clock here which is cool, I went running yesterday for the first time in years and it went better than I expected aka I didn't throw up or get mud butt which I was planning for, but I think that was more due to the excellent dump I had before running, so I'm gonna take a couple weeks to acclimate to running then start at the gym with the weights and machines and shake weights
Anyone else trying to stay fit? We're all getting to mid 30s...

I've been struggling with motivation. Went for a run about a couple of weeks ago, and wanted to see how far I could go without stopping. Made it 3k in 20 minutes. Not bad for being inactive for a few months. But I probably much go on a run once a month...Need to be inspired.
Anyhow, maybe I'll use this thread for inspiration. "...or get mud butt which I was planning for"...Depends?

I’m working on getting back into running shape post-baby-#2. But the whole kids and job thing are making it tough. I signed up for the Hot Chocolate 15K in Atlanta Presidents’ Day weekend to run with my sisters. So at least I’ve got a goal. Or an impending failure.

I feel like a V “failure” would still be a hella fast run.

First day with the company gym routine, I was nervous because I ate way too many tacos this weekend and had a pretty good idea about the consequences during a workout, so I get here but then I take a great dump and while doing that freaking Natalie insignia comes on the PA so I'm freaking pumped I go out and lift like 2 dozen high voltage transformers and figure out cold fusion while on the treadmill
Ok some of that was an exaggeration, I was flirting with the mandatory bowel evacuation line the whole time during the workout and when I was done I had to make another deposit and it's getting to where the TP is uncomfortable, but I had a banana now so I figure I'm past all the taco shenanigans
Natalie omnibus really did come on the radio though

My latest foray into fitness has been somewhat-regular attendance at mostly-weekly games of pickleball with Rachel's Uncle Neal. We played like 5 or 6 games last night, and it seemed like a good cardio workout. Definitely a ton of fun.
Up until yesterday it's been at an outdoor tennis court in Chickamauga, but he's also got key access to many local gymnasiums through work connections at the EPB. So we were squeaking our tenni's all over the place like 5th grade gym class.
