had a hw assignment that i had to change a MIPS program function to accept both upper and lower case characters but treat the uppercase as lower case except we were only supposed to use 3 extra instructions and an extra string. we couldnt convert each uppercase character to lowercase in the function and then do what we needed to do.

but i think i figured out what he was looking for altho i only ended up using 2 extra instructions instead of 3 so maybe not

Hey guys I need some help. I was recently searching Ebay the greatest site in the world and stumbled upon something I have never heard about. Now I know you guys spend all day serching the web for any and everything. Ok so I was trying to find a DVD player that goes in your car where your CD player is. Normally the one im looking for is $1699. And on ebay I was expecting to see one for like $800 or so. but instead i found all these guys posting these auctions that sound "scam like". I copied ones listing word for word...........:IMPORTANT: UNLIKE OTHER AUCTIONS which give you lists of wholesalers which will Maybe save you 40% I am NOT doing this .

INSTEAD
I will show you the way in which you can get one or more of these items for as low as $100 each.
NO JOKE
Other brands as well LIKE KENWOOD PIONEER they are as low as $175. SOUNDS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE RIGHT? THAT IS WHAT I THOUGHT AS WELL BUT IT WORKS AND IT WILL WORK FOR YOU.
Upon winning bid I will send you the website where you will be AMAZED like I was. It is all explained there everything you need to know and a list of all the products you can get there. Not only will I send you 1 web site but I will send 4. Yes 4 I managed to get a hold of a 4th site!
Inside these websites you will not only be limited to INDASH DVDS but also Subwoofers Indash Cd players Amps etc.... some of the gifts are as low as $75.
SAVE HUGE!!! RE-SELL THEM FOR A $1000 PROFIT OR BUY STUFF FOR YOURSELF. HECK DO BOTH! ITS ALL UP TO YOU!

THIS PRODUCT IS 100% GUARANTEED BY THE WEBPAGE YOU ARE BIDDING ON. YOU CANNOT GO WRONG

I feel like I have been more than clear on what this item is. This being said I am not responsible for any misunderstandings. MANY OTHER AUCTIONS WILL MAKE YOU THINK THAT YOU ARE GOING TO GET THE PRODUCT AND THEY THROW IN SOME TINY LITTLE WORDS LIKE "you are bidding on the picture only" WE LET YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE GETTING. NON-PAYING BIDDERS WHOM DO NOT READ THE INFORMATION WILL RECEIVE NEGATIVE FEEDBACK.

Once more you are bidding on the infomation on the site where you can purchase the ebook which entitles you to this item. It will all make perfect sense when you win and receive the website info. It is so easy and straight forward.

Thanks for looking and hope you enjoy the products!

:............. Now I was wondering if these "e-book" sites are for real So i am asking your guys' help to find these sites to see if this is for real or not. And if they are then hooray I will be rich. and if not. oh well. So what do you say guys..... please :-0
Edit: i would post a link thing but i dont know how to do that but if you want to find these auctions on Ebay just search for "AVIC-N2" and you will see what i mean.

yeah it's more than likely that you've found one of those scammy auctioneers.. they'll send you a link to a website that tells you how to sign up for a "product evaluation" -- companies will mail you bigscreen TVs (or in-dash dvd players whatever the scam of the week is) for you to evaluate give feedback etc. then the products are yours to keep. something doesn't seem quite right in this setup so if i were you jacob i'd steer clear of these folks.

Through harsh experience I have learned one universal rule - if something seems too good to be true the sure bet is that it is. This includes boobs. :-(

actually its not really a scam per se. someone from a forum i visit had an extra $50 to burn once and bid in one of these auctions to see what it was really about and posted the results. they really do give you info on how to get stuff for cheap/free but the system is designed for small retail stores. you start off demo'ing cheap crap and if you buy a bunch of it for your store then you build "credit" with the system allowing you to get more expensive items. so in the end it works but isn't at all worth it unless you have a store to sell large quantities of stuff you ordered to offset the cost required for the "credit"
