yes you can score as many points as you want in the first half; mercy rule doesn't apply until the beginning of the second half.

and that sportsmanship stuff is all BS some refs give 4.0 everytime some refs never give a 4.0. I'm sure we'll eventually get a 4.0 so it all evens out in the end (unless we start throwing punches).
