Sorry guys I'm addicted to Google News. But I read this in an Al Jazeera article and thought it was pretty funny: "Iran offered help through the Red Crescent whenever it receives an official request from the US. Washington and Teheran have had no diplomatic relations for 26 years." Yeah we don't want no money from no stinkin ragheads. (note sarcasm)
Oh and "Thailand's King Bhumibol Adulyadej Monday indicated he would send unspecified amounts of Thai rice." hehe
and unrelated a few weeks ago i bought a copy of the communist manifesto with a credit card with my name on it. this weekend when i went home i got 'randomly' selected for additional screening. Twice. there and back. hmm . . .

The enitre world looks at the U.S. and wishes they lived here. The entire world tries to be like the U.S. The entire world laughes and critisizes the U.S. It's time the U.S. did something and the rest of the world gave a standing ovation... Like when we visited Hiroshima and Nagasaki. They weren't too happy when we went there. But now they are still kissing our asses so we don't pay another visit.

Jacob -- do you mean the time we went to Hiroshima and Nagasaki in '45 or more recently? They weren't really happy either time :-P
Not to sound like a weeping liberal but the US could stand to do a little bridge-building with the rest of the world. Looking at the present set of policies that we've been using though it looks like we're a lot more likely to be emulating the '45 visits.

The shoutbox input area is now larger.. and it's got a prettier font. I might change it back to the standard (fixed width) font.. I haven't decided yet.
