Someone explain to me why McCain's plan will help the economy. Pretend like I'm a 9th grader who doesn't understand the US economy at all bc that's pretty close to where I stand now.
I'm registered as a Democrat but I think I would have voted for McCain this November if he hadn't picked an incompetent buffoon as his running mate. I know that politicians always talk in circles and rarely give a straight answer to the question but most of the time they at least bullshit about related topics.
There were several times during the debate when Palin simply changed the topic completely. For example Biden made several comments about the fact that McCain voted across the board for deregulation and in his last sentence he mentioned briefly how the America people need a tax break. Palin discussed taxes for a full 2 minutes. Biden pointed out that she still never addressed the topic of deregulation so the moderator asked her if Palin would like to comment on it. Palin went right back to taxes claiming that she may not answer the questions the way the Senator or the moderator wants her to...in other words she's not going to answer questions she doesn't like.
Two other times during the debate the moderator asked Palin if Biden's statements are true to which the governor responded "No it's not true" and then proceeded to discuss a different topic since it was such a short answer.
I also like how she said that the "Predator Lenders" are to blame for the subprime mortgage crisis not the "American People":
Now I'm not saying that Biden was stellar either but compared to Palin he's a shoe in. I'm going to vote for Obama-Biden unless someone can convince me otherwise. Hopefully I won't run into any evil Lenders who will trick me into voting for McCain-Palin before the election.

i think this is a very future oriented election and it's a decision between Obama or Palin for who will lead McCain and Biden are fairly inconsequential
Didn't you watch season 6 of 24 the VP does matter! :O
Lets say hypothetically that it's impossible for the president to become incapacitated during his presidential term. Whether through natural causes like a heart attack or choking on a peanut or through assassination or through accidents like car accidents or quail hunting mishaps. Lets eliminate those possibilities and claim that since the P has star power for 4 years the VP effectively has no political influence. Given those assumptions what evidence can you guys provide that would allow me to make an inform decision on Nov 4th?
Specifically I'm looking for discussion about the economy international relations and energy independence.
I know I can be sarcastic and condescending but I'm asking for your opinions in earnest. Maybe this isn't the right place to go but honestly I'd rather hear these arguments from you guys than some randos on a political forum. You guys may not have a definitive answer but I'd like to know what you guys think. My knowledge about the areas I listed above is limited so any insight would be greatly appreciated.
If that's not possible then you're all chodes and you can suck my right nut.
