Cal's only loss: getting lit up 35-18 by Tennessee Tenn's only loss: edged out 21-20 by #7 Florida
Cal should be at the bottom of the 1 loss teams not above the team that beat them :|

wtf mate?
5 of 6 BCS computers ranked USC #1 and one ranked them #2 yet they struggled against the last 3 unranked teams they played one of which was handed to them by the incompetent PAC-10 refs who dont know how to stop the clock :|

It's fairly well established that USC is the media darling of the decade. Until we catch them strangling kittens that's not going to change. Just have to grin and bear it.

I understand that Matt has the raw materials but does he have the will-power?

Well for one thing TN is only 5-1 and cal is 6-1; that extra game gives cal an edge over TN. Cal lost their first game whereas TN lost their 3rd game and apparently the computers prefer if you get off to a slow start rather than take a bumpy ride. Also Cal has a higher margin of victory (even after 6 games).
LSU has two losses yet they are ahead of GT. Although their margin of victory is over double GT's they have no wins against ranked teams. GT has the win over #11 VT.
In both cases the deciding factor is the number of games played. If TN and GT had played 7 games they would both be ahead of Cal and LSU respectively. In the end though it's all just
