i bought this on friday and it was on my doorstep by this morning. best $260 i've spent by far. if anyone has been wanting an LCD i highly recommend this one. the viewable area is about the same height as my 19" samsung crt but its about 3-3.5" wider and much higher res. its got dvi and vga inputs but the thing that pushed me over the edge to buy it is its a true 8bit panel.
most LCDs under $300 that have response times of 8ms or better use 6bits/color and dither the last 2 bits. dropping those lower 2 bits improves response time so you have less ghosting in games/videos but sacrifices color quality. this gives you full color quality and still looks great in games and videos :D

On a related note I hears the Xbox360 is getting a HD-DVD add-on and will be able to output games and movies in 1080p through either component or VGA connections. So if anybody happened to get a 1080p set recently...

And while we're talking HD-DVD here's a patent some Time-Warner engineers took out for a disc that plays in either HD-DVD or Blu-Ray.
