even though it was a joke i wouldnt be surprised if your comment about the drums was true since drums are more about beat with very little control over tone

Partly I do agree with that. Most of the drummers I know are slightly tone deaf. Generally the ones that do a little "instrument" playing like horns or guitar are better at tuning a tympani. I found that I was always flat. But hey my pitch is exactly how I like me womens
