So I made it to Melbourne :-D ... harris put me up in a sweet suite with an ocean view and two TV's. I just got caught up reading the internet; it seems we're not far off from getting intimate with robots and it's still not a good idea to steal things on the internet.

Here's some more reading for you. Gonna low tech it up a bit.
Scottish space program = catapults. This is why the Scottish origins of presbyterianism is a source of great pride for me.
Also keep in mind the itenerant 409 take-down of Melbourne in August when picking apartments.

More importantly where am I going to get more Guinness. I've car bombed all of the Guinness in the house and now there is no more left. Woe is me.

Alright kids if everything goes smoothly monday then by June 23 i'll be moving into The Lake In The Woods apartment community. Featuring a junior olympic sized pool tennis courts racquetball and a community pool table :-D
At least at the beginning of my lease my floorplan will be the "1 bedroom 2 bath w/ loft" model. So if you come in August that's the one you'll see. I believe that with this particular floorplan it is all the more imperative that I actually install either a fireman's pole a zipline or both.

oh snizzap. during my first day of work one of the other new grad hires (who went to auburn) said he was living in the Grand Oaks and that it was pretty nice. So after work I'm on my way to drop of my application to the Lake in The Woods when I remember the auburn dood and what he said. So I come back to the hotel call the place and the guy says he can stay a little bit after hours to show me an apt that's available. I go and holy carp it's fantastic. den dining room more than decent kitchen two count them TWO bedrooms and one giant bathroom with a bathtub and separate shower stall. All this for the same price as the 1 bedroom + loft place. More square footage closer to the interstate no racquetball (sorry justin).
I wish the floorplan that I'm getting were on the website but alas it is not. I'll see if i can scan the printout sometime or maybe i'll get the guy to send me a digital copy. Although I admit having the loft would be cool this is by far the better deal.
