I was reading about last night's loss to the diamondbacks. Reitsma of course blew another game but I love his response to the blown save.
"I was just brutal" said Reitsma who blew his third save in 10 chances. "I feel like this one's on me (as if all the others werent...). I feel terrible about it."
I say get rid of reitsma and get julio franco (or francouer) to close. better yet smoltz when he doesnt start.

Bobby Cox should've called Jack Bauer to close the game in the 9th. Bauer would've somehow managed to strike out 5 batters find a nuclear warhead in the seats and punch Reitsma in the neck.

Tonight's strategy: the D'backs have to keep swinging the bat and getting hits and running around the bases and scoring. That way tomorrow they'll be too tired and we'll have a chance.
Also for punch to the face action find some highlights from today's White Sox vs. Cubs game. I'll look around the interwebs

Drew you are all encompassingly missing Bobby's strategy. Reitsma was too tired to pitch today due to the previous night's outing. Therefore he couldnt count on reitsma to lose the game for us. So why not stick in a guy no one has heard of to start that has a career ERA of eleventy-eight billion (~ 6.62); thus the game will be lost before the ninth. that way reitsma will be available for sundays game to ruin what Hudson does. Lastly I'd like to give a shout out to Todd Pratt for contributing 25% of the hits today.

Reitsma tried to blow the save today but Bobby took him out before he was able to seal the deal. Not sure what the thinking was there.

Drew I hope you didnt miss todays game it had everything. Club record of 8 HRs Reitsma blowing another save Francoeur with an assist Langerhans getting on in the 11th for the eventual winning run when the Cubs 3rd baseman decided to 'catch' the ball with his head instead of his glove. Another interesting note: Villarreal is 7-0. Lastly i've liked what i've seen from ken ray lately why dont we make him the closer? I've also liked that paronto's pitching.
