I emailed the guy back and I suspect I'll hear from him sometime tomorrow. The Googleplex is in Mountain View Calif. but they've also got some operations in Atlanta :-D

The guy said he's gunna talk to a few teams at various locations (inc. ATL Mntn View and others) to see if anyone thinks they would be a good fit for me. He said that the ATL was probably a long shot b/c they're usually pretty specific in their job descriptions and the stuff they work on doesn't really match my background.
Anyhoo I'll keep you guys posted on any goings on :)

Well I just changed projects here but if that hadn't happened then I probably would have been checking around to see what else was out there. Now that I'm on my new projects I'm not as anxious to find something else to do.. however it is Google and I think it'd be pretty sweet to work for them. I might as well see if they come up with anything that I would find interesting; if nothing else it gives me a better idea of my marketability which can be used as leverage in my current job :)
I'm not sure how good at that I would be.. "hay guys company XYZ is offering $ABC and a Swedish massage .. what're you going to do to keep me here?"
