also the only movie i've ever seen in theatres that had an intermission . . . Dances with Wolves
My Fair Lady (based on Pygmalion haven't read the play though)
With the help of a brilliant witty and mildly sexist linguist Henry Higgins Elisa Dolittle is transformed from a simple flower girl to the belle of the ball and manages to defy all class lines when she dances with royalty. And it has an intermission. :)
Henry Higgins is the epitome of cultural hubris especially when pertaining to the english language. The line is straight from the play (search for The Bible) but here's Rex Harrison's rendition:
Such a good movie! It's worth a full watch through.
hubriception
Captain America 2: Streamed it through amazon since they were like hey here's a dollar video credit if you choose super slow shipping and I was like why not. Enjoyable enough. Still wish there was a little more old fashioned american sensibilities vs. modern world shenanigans. I mean I get it they're going for as broad appeal as possible. Action was actiony but I can't remember anything particular about any of it. Props again for the PTSD awareness angle. 3.5 out of 5 tombstone easter eggs (didn't realize it till I saw it on the interwebs)
