Going to Savannah to visit Jacob.
I'll be here. I might buy tickets to dragoncon but I'll be around if you want to hang out.
cool. i'll give you a call. i don't think i'll plan on going to dragon con though (unless tix are super cheap and someone can give me a good/cheap costume idea).
this is what happens when nobody asks questions
"When you're dumping into your rectum..." stop you're doing it wrong. There's no way to end that sentence on a positive note haha.
I'm not sure if this got much publicity outside of Knoxville but it probably should have. In short three people (including an 82 year old Catholic nun) cut through several fences surrounding the Y-12 plant and made it to the outside of a building that houses the nations single largest stockpile of weapons grade Uranium. They had time to hang banners spray paint anti-nuclear graffiti and splash blood on the building before the security guards noticed they were there. The Y-12 plant is about 3 miles from my office (and part of the same government reservation as the national lab) so we've been having to deal with heightened security because those guards couldn't do their job.
I heard something about it probably on the nerd news. Heightened security huh? What exactly does that mean? Everyone in my office complained when our password expiration was shortened to 30 days.. though I suspect your changes are more to do with physical security.
Yeah I think it's really a bandaid to mitigate poor compartmentalization and to mitigate idiot execs who can't help but install malware / fall for some phishing attack every 15 days. Motorola has apparently been the target of an "advanced persistent threat" for a while.. at least that's what their justification was.
