i'd like to know what you think so far compared to the ME1 experience since I watched you play more than a few hours of that before

i'd be glad to alright well the first one suffered from two main things: a tedious and largely inconsequential inventory system and repetitive side missions the second drops the inventory system and gets you more involved in the weapon settings the combat has been tuned up and they added a kind of rock/paper/scissors mechanic and you see significant benefits from equipping yourself to address these possibilitiesthe side missions in the second are much more engaging each location is unique where in the first you would explore the same 3 outposts over and overi'd say one thing the first still has going for it is the story the scope of the first game feels much larger than the second i'd say probably due to the exposition of the whole universe they created the second had a tagline like "recruit your team fight for the lost" and that's pretty much what you do and then you beat the game i beat it in 35 or so hours and it still felt kind of short but the character development is deeper in the second each team member you pick up has their own additional mission you take them on to solve some sort of dilemma for them most of them are pretty interesting but the whole situation feels kind of artificial in the first you were flying around the galaxy solving mysteries and eating scooby snacks and learning about your team members along the way which i found more compellingthe humor in the second game is superb especially if you're hardcore in to it like i am also it was entertaining to see situations from the first game work their way into the second and i'm very interested to see how the decisions i made in the second will come to bear in the third which i want like yesterdayedit: both definitely have epic and cinematic endings that are very satisfying i mean turn on the surround sound and tell me you don't get nerdy goosebumps for both of them
