i'ma write this down so i dont forget: make /avatar.php?userId=## to dynamically load a user's current avatar -- useful for server-side caching of thread pages :)

Request for search ability without leaving the page. This could tie in to BadJohnny's request for all posts by a user.
When you get to the middle of the threads (1415 for example) the horizontal scroll bar pops back in the main window. It appears to be the pagination doing it.
Is there anyway to have the main view of all the threads be consistent in height? For instance going from thread 1-5 the bottom navigation bar jumps up and down and there's not any consistency of position of where the next number will be to click.

ok so the whole sidebar thing has me feeling like i'm looking at the 409 like i would a naked chick through the keyhole when i really just need to kick the door down and be naked too

can you disable the scrollbars while you're still tweaking it? Slash make it a preference? I miss being able to view it on my phone.

this forum for K2 (the company that makes the technology i'm working with right now) uses a point system--i guess to encourage participation and so you can see who's the baddest-asst poster--where every post you make earns you a point and every reply to threads you create earn you points. It could be fun to add a point system on 409 but points would be awarded arbitrarily. For example:
Also to reduce the impact of biased rules everyone chooses x out of y rules they want applied to their point calculation where x is some percentage of the total number of rules y. :D
- adding a post earns you 1 point
- each post added to a thread you've created earns you 1 point (excluding your own posts so you don't get double points)
- editing posts deducts .1 points
- posting a link embedding videos or using hide button earns you .25 additonal points
- posting text instead of a link deducts .25 points
- using The Project within a post earns you 2 additional points
- using key words like frothy spoom turdburgler panties and cupcakes earns you .1 additional points
- using key phrases or statements like "Shawn is gay" "I dipped my FUCKING tie in the FUCKING toilet" "IDB" "Is it mine?" "Shawn likes men" "comcast sucks" and "g?" earns you .5 additional points
- using curse words deducts .5 points
- using words like work responsibility can't won't and Shawn deducts .75 points
- using words starting with B'Hoo earn you .75 additional points
- an obvious abuse of the rules to earn points (e.g. repeating key words or phrases tbd by matt) results in a 1 day ban and deducts 50 points.

these rules just give you the incentive to improve your computer skills! you already post embedded pictures and movies (even though that's probably just a copy paste situation). learning to create a link takes very little effort. Just read up to and including "The Href attribute" section and that's all you need to know! (your next post better include a link!)
i knew someone would whine about the rules. I should've guessed that it'd be a little girl! ;) there are ways around not being a guy but your identity crisis has nothing to do with these rules!
those were just a sample of the number of different ways we can exploit people. suggest better ideas for rules if you don't like mine! also assuming this idea comes to fruition you'll have the ability to choose the rules that apply to you! :P
