So I've been off the whole 409 thing for quite some time. I got a bit overwhelmed with work and fatherhood and such for a while that I got really far behind. Then at some point it was just too much of a task to get back up to speed and it turns out I'm pretty damn lazy. Seeing a bunch of you guys at GAS made me realize that I really miss all of you and want to catch back up I feel like I've missed out on a lot by not reading 409. It might take me a few days to get caught up; in the mean time I'll probably be responding to some old posts but some things need to be said.

i was thinking a while back that there should be some sort of "summon [x] to this thread" feature for when the conversation gets into one of our areas of expertise or if we're trying to remember something or if someone just got burned by a yo momma joke function maybe sends an email or text when summoned
for example steven a few months ago there were some lab shenanigans i was wondering if you knew about/were responsible for?

Given that Y-12 is about a mile from my office and part of the same complex I'm surprised I never heard about that one. Then again I think considering Y-12's shady security record over the past few years (it seems the elderly are particularly difficult to keep out see here and here) I think anything that doesn't amount to a true security breach just gets ignored.

Hopefully we've got the babies/marriages/jobs stuff out of our systems for now also I'm proposing a dg/poker/beerio kart retreat at either e-casa or rahmanadu in the spring time I know it's a way off but it's been on my mind
