Another example of metadata exposing more than you'd expect
You guys remember making fun of the "Into the Wild" guy who ended up starving in the Alaskan wilderness? Turns out his death wasn't quite so stupid. At least not as stupid as being eaten by a bear.
TLDR: he ate a lot of wild potato seeds that contain a neurotoxin that when combined with his meager diet and increased physical activity caused paralysis in his legs. This complication wasn't common knowledge at the time so.. yeah.
Potato berries are fairly toxic as in "Europeans didn't eat potatoes or tomatoes for decades after their discovery in the new world because their berries look exactly like nightshade" toxic. Potatoes tomatoes peppers and eggplant are all in the same family as nightshade; it's only a few specialized members that have a few specialized parts that aren't going to make you sick.
